Hi!

My name is Krrish Goel, and I am a student at Step by Step School, Noida. As you can see, I want to design smart cities. What does that mean for me? Smart cities not only involve use of technology for the betterment of the cities but also many other factors. In today's world one of the most important factors of designing cities is sustainability by integrating renewable energy sources and reducing environmental impact. Apart from this infrastructure planning, mobility, citizen engagement along with keeping in mind traditional customs and beliefs.
Thus, I want to study civil engineering! Of course, I do! From learning about sustainable building materials to actually making some of them, I’m immersing myself in this fascinating arena completely (whether it’s making concrete cubes or working on sites or playing around with different softwares to make 3D models!).
As a child, I loved making lego structures, who didn’t right? As I put the final torch on the Statue of Liberty, I was immediately proud of my creations. This only blossomed into a genuine ardor for creating more designs out of my imagination. As I grew older, I had the opportunity to accompany my father to construction sites during my holidays. Witnessing the wastage of valuable resources like cement and steel, as well as the noise and air pollution caused by certain machinery, deeply affected me. This experience inspired me to explore more sustainable and environmentally-friendly methods of construction.
That’s not all though! In my leisure time, I find solace in listening to music. This interest gradually led me to learn how to play the drums, allowing me to decipher beats and rhythms for new songs. Finding the same beats and rhythm in the thrum of tennis balls, I’ve been playing tennis for almost a decade.
